Writer's Workshop Assignment: When I'm upset....

When I'm upset....

Everyone who lives with me know it. I yell, I throw things. Frankly, I could use a little anger management. Inside the home, I can really voice my problems. Poor Hubs catches the worst of it. When I'm upset, it's hard for me to let things go. I can hold one hell of a grudge!

On the other hand, when I walk out that door. It's like night and day. No one would know that I was just screeming at the top of my longs because I instantly become a breath of sunshine. Okay, maybe that's taking it a little far, I certainly changes faces pretty damn quickly. I'm all smiles with the neighbors or people I encounter. I feel like my personal feelings are my own and I don't really like to share them.... well, umm, I mean, except with all of you guys, of course. Hee hee! If, Joe Six Pack pissed me off during PTO today, you better believe that hubs is going to hear about it. Loud and clear! But others may never know.

No I know all of you have seen an episode or two of Desperate Housewives. Yeah, it's kinda like Bree. On the outside, all perfect (as I most obviously am) and proper. On the inside, raving mad!

I know it's not healthy. Been told I need therapy. But that's just the way it is WHEN I'M UPSET!

At least you can keep up a happy facade when needed. I'm not so good at faking it.

I feel your pain! I believe that there are more of us out there like this, then we care to admit! Especially if you work in the Hospitality Industry! I did for 11 years and my poor HUBBY caught the brunt of all of it because you have to "put on your game face" when you're at work! Thanks for the honesty!

you are not alone, you can't be! i think we all have a different personality on the "outside" than the one we let shine on the "inside"!

Well, I'm glad to see someone else wrote about the same subject that I picked. At least you get it all out. That's probably a good thing.

Lucky you! I wish I could change moods so quickly. I try but my face shows it all and I end up looking ingenuine.

I a pretty similar! I have a bit of a temper but I am excellent at hiding it!

I can totally relate. Only, when I walk out the door, the yelling and throwing things may stop, but the evidence that these events took place is written all over my face and if innocent bystanders happen to piss me off, they must run really fast to escape the wrath, lol.

Your story reminded of how my mom was/is when she's mad. She could be yelling at all of us kids and the phone rings and immediately she's all nice again. As soon as she was finished with the phone call, it was like she didn't miss a beat - she was right back on our tails.

I agree with Mrs D, its a good thing that you can keep all that from the world.

LOL, youre stark raving mad, huh?

I might be a bit of a grudge holder, myself... oops!
