Today I'm thankful that God has given me patience to deal with children that you have to repeat things to 60 times!
I'm thankful that I have not taken out the ATTITUDE ADJUSTER (a.k.a BEAT EM STICK) today, even though I have told the boys like a bajillion times that they need to get that room cleaned up.
I'm thankful that up until this point, they have taken me serious about NOT COMING OUT OF THEIR ROOM UNTIL IT IS CLEAN, although that has not stopped them from throwing things into the hallway, asking "Can I get that?"
I'm thankful that everyday they are not like this!

I'm I the only one that looks at the world and all of the crazy and bad things that keep happening and can't help but wonder what kind of world my children are growing up in?
What kind of world do we live in where soldiers can fight for our country and return home TO SAFETY and be killed by thier own fellowman?
What kind of world are they being raised in where a girl can be gang raped in front of a school in front of a large spectators who video tape the horrific event rather than stop it?
What kind of world is this where so many women can go missing in one area and convicted rapist can get away with hiding 11 bodies in his house, some of the women missing for 5 years, and no one investigate that area?
I pray that the world we live in becomes better for my children.

That's my hope as well.
You mean you didn't have to use the Attitude Adjuster??? They must know you mean business.
They try me ALL THE TIME!, believe me! My husband thinks I'm too easy on them because I tend to repeat things a lot and say, "okay, if I say it again..."
****Sigh**** They may have to meet the Attitude Adjuster a few times while dad is gone!
I love the "Attitude Adjuster!" And I swear you're living my life right now...kids. Love 'em. But they drive you crazy.
And on a serious note, I totally agree with you - there has been some major bad stuff this past week - all over the country - it makes you wonder what the heck is going on. All we can do is pray, and raise our own kids right so that they make the right choices when they get older.
And it sounds like yours will - especially with the Attitude Adjuster close by! (j/k)
Have a blessed day, Diva Ma! Love your blog!

Your post gave me chills. Such truthful thoughts. It scares me to see how far we've fallen. I wonder what the world will be like when my son is older. I can only hope that I can raise HIM to be a strong honest-good hearted man.
Thank you for reading my blog and getting involved. :) We made our cards today, and I will post with pictures tonight! :) Hope you can send out some cards too!! :)
Happy Monday
The attitude adjuster! I LOVE IT :)
I pray every day for the patience to deal with my kiddos. It's an uphill battle:O
I think about those things too. Unfortunately, I fear that things will not improve anytime soon. Until they put some values back in the world, we have a long road ahead of us.
