Why is it that why you have something really ingenious to say, no one hears you?
**If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?**
That's what happened with my previous post entitled "I'm Coping...."
Okay, so it wasn't THAT ingenious, but it was one of the good ones, and when I pushed post, for some reason it only posted the title and my ingenious poem and my super-dee-dooper words ended up lost somewhere in The Lost Words of the Blogosphere!
It's disappointing. And it kinda ranks up there somewhere with how I'm always thinking of these perfect blog posts when I'm nowhere near my computer or totally unable to write anything down. Many times these ingenious writings come into my head while I'm taking a shower. That seems to be when I do my best work. I'd have the perfect post all thought out in my head, then by the time I'm all washed up and dried off, it's disappeared! And what's left is..."Duuuhhh, we should have mashed potatoes today, heh heh!"
I've actually considered that when a great thought comes into my head, no matter what I'm doing, I should just make a mad dash for the computer, load it up and get to typing. I'm pretty sure that it may terrify the kids to see their mom running butt naked covered in soap through the house to the computer room. It would traumatized them! But it sure as heck would make for a great post! LOL!

That may be the key. Honestly, when I saw the blog title...I was thinking, "Is there more?" :)
As a writer, I always get my ideas at night in bed or in the car, so I keep a notebook and pen next to the bed and in my purse so I can always write it down! I have actually been known to pull over and write pages of stuff because I don't want to forget it! lol.
I was worried about you! I saw that title and thought, "Uh oh!". Glad to hear it was a computer malfunction. What about one of those voice recorder thingies? That way you could play it back...or a notebook works great, too!
I saw that post too, I thought that was all...I respected your vulnerability in silence. Interesting.
As for tracking thoughts, I jot them down in nonsensical little key word phrases every and anywhere until it's time to write.
